Baby Girl’s Meeting Spot 

It is well known that most women need to communicate and build close relationships with others.  It is only logical that the room for your new baby girl be a meeting spot where people come to visit.  It should be a place where her friends want to be as she grows.  It also helps if it is a haven for mom too.  Thus, the task left at hand is to figure out how to do this.  So to start off, you need to understand the basics of color theory so you know what different colors do for us. 

Color

Basic color theory tells us that there are warm colors and cool colors.  It is not difficult to figure out that your warm colors are your reds, oranges and yellows.  Your cool colors are your blues, greens and purples.  You also have your neutral colors, which are your browns, blacks and whites.  Generally speaking, your warm colors can cause an increase in blood flow and elevate the heart rate, whereas your cool colors have a calming affect.  So, ask yourself, which of these colors would you want in the room where your baby sleeps?  You must also know that colors placed side by side can have a different effect psychologically then the colors by themselves.   You can practice by putting colors side by side to see how they work together so you can choose the appropriate colors for your baby’s room. No doubt the most common color for a girl’s room is pink.  The effects of pink have been found in some studies to reduce aggression, but I’d have to conclude that this comes from the soft pastel pinks only.  Slap a coat of hot pink on the walls and I can only assume it has a similar stimulating affect like that of red.  Have no fear however, pink is not your only color option, there are a lot of choices for baby girl bedding.  You will actually find more options for baby girls than for the boys. 

Decorating Tips

Decorating can be so much fun, but remember you do not have to spend a lot of money to make your baby’s room a hit with the neighbors.  You can recycle.  Take for example the Cherry Blossom fragrance, you can use the bottle to decorate the shelves of your Blossoms room by MiGi.  If that is not your style, then dry some flowers and frame them for your Peggy Sue room.   Make sure to look for creative ideas for storage and don’t forget so see if you can use the packaging from your bedding sets for some kind of wall art or decoration.  Let your imagination soar as you design your baby girl’s meeting spot, a place for all the girls.
